Enter the fascinating world of Reiki with Reiki Master Ella O'Bryan!
Ella O'BryanLearn how to heal yourself and others with this exciting, ancient healing technique.
Reiki (pronounced Ray key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing. Reiki can be described as Spiritually guided life force energy applied by the laying on of hands.
In the class, you will learn hand positions and scanning (symbols are taught in Reiki II and Master). The actual technique of channeling Reiki is given to the student during an attunement process from a Reiki Master Teacher, the channel through which the attunement energies pass - the energies are really coming directly from a Higher Power. During an attunement, a student's energy system is adjusted and strengthened and new pathways are opened through which Reiki energy will be able to flow.

Nagas appear in many places in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. They are serpentine beings associated with water and fluid energy that dwell in rivers, lakes and the primordial sea. Nagavayu, one of the sub winds of prana, seated in the center of the heart, is responsible for the intuitive free movement of the limbs which releases the prana shakti.
This workshop will explore warrior and sun forms, sequences of movements coordinated with the breath, designed to free the peripheral body of restrictions and tap into the power center within.
Dennis' teaching draws on his knowledge of several schools of yoga. He infuses an eclectic mix of sound biomechanical principles, breath awareness and philosophy into his classes. He is co-director of the Advanced Studies Program at the Yoga Movement Center in Walnut Creek, California. Continuing Ed credits for Yoga Alliance are available for students working toward certification. All levels are welcome.
